HOME (Live)

Choreographed by: Chantal Cherry
Dancers: Jingqiu Guan, Daeun Jung
Lighting Design by: Chantal Cherry
Videography by: Gabriel
Photography by: Charles Han

HOME (live), a 13-minute duet, presents two possible ways of dealing with grief: 1) drowning in sorrow, and 2) celebrating the life of the departed - each character embodying one of these ways to deal with grief. Inspired by Pina Bausch, HOME (Live) draws on repetition as a choreographic method and presents movement as abstracted imagery for such emotions as deep sorrow, dristress, joy, and happiness and aims to evoke a kinesthetic and emotional response in the audience.
