The Way I Love You is an autobiographical work accompanied by an original sound score. The work portrays an intimate, same-sex relationship that emerges out of a whirlwind of chaos and uncertainty - conveyed through highly physical movement vocabulary that is dependent on contact work. Staging works that feature themes, such as sexual identity, gives voice to an underrepresented community. Furthermore, staging same-sex relationships as natural, acceptable, and universal provides acknowledgement, support, and hope to queer individuals. This work speaks to people who are interested in social justice and equality for all.
